Triceratops keep their conference record unblemished at 5-0.
Abraham was nothing short of sensational during the week, averaging 27.0 points per game while shooting a blistering 73 percent from the field (24-of-33). The sharpshooter poured in 13 field goals in the win over Owens before following up with 11 more buckets against Hocking, showcasing the consistent scoring punch that has made him one of the conference's most dangerous offensive weapons.
The Express had no answers for the Triceratops as Abraham scored 30 points while dishing out four assists. He was not alone, as fellow freshman "Favor" McFadden dropped 27 points that included a perfect 7/7 from the stripe. Sophomore Tyson Garner continued his special performance with 26, including 8/11 from the stripe. "Favor" also grabbed six boards and added two blocks for good measure.
But Abraham's impact extended well beyond his scoring prowess. The freshman guard demonstrated his versatility by pulling down nine rebounds during the contest, showing a willingness to do the dirty work on the glass. His floor vision and ball security were equally impressive, as he posted a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio while connecting on 67% from deep.
The back-to-back victories solidified Cuyahoga's position atop the OCCAC standings and served as a statement that the Triceratops are the team to beat in conference play. With Abraham playing at this level, Cuyahoga will look to extend its perfect conference record as the season progresses.
