Tri-C MBK Opens Home Slate with 104-89 win over ISA, Smith leads way
The Tri-C Men's Basketball team rolled to a 104-89 victory Friday night in their home opener over International Sports Academy. The Tops came out roaring racing to a 15-4 lead before the game settled into rhythym Nekhi Smith scored 19 of his team high 27 in the first half to lead the Top to a 59-38 halftine lead.
The second half became the Donavan Coffey and Devin Haid show as Coffey scored 14 of his 16 points including two three pointer and Haid set the crowd buzzing with a montrous slam dunk as he chipped in 18 points for the night. The other Tops in double figures was Ronik Grewall who had 3 three pointers in the first half. Nekhi Smith also led the team with 13 rebounds and Jordan Persad had 7 assists to pace the Tops.
The Tops return home on Tuesday evening as they will play Schoolcraft College in a key NJCAA Regioin XII matchup. That game will start approximately 7:30 as the Women will play at 5:30. The game will be broadcast live with full TV production on the Tri-C Boxcast Network Channel.
