The Triceratops Volleyball team Opens OCCAC Play with Dominant Sweep

Match Recap:

September 3, 2025 – Cuyahoga Community College Volleyball opened Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) play with a statement win, sweeping their opponent in three tightly contested sets: 27-25, 28-26, 25-17.

Offensive Powerhouse

Sophomore Kimberly Biglin led the charge with a monster performance, racking up 18 kills on 20 attempts with only 2 errors, finishing with an astonishing .800 hitting percentage. She added 8 service aces and 2 solo blocks, totaling a match-high 28 points.

Freshman Trinity Bell also made her presence known at the net, contributing 9 kills, 13 assists, and 13 digs, earning a double-double and helping fuel the offense.

Serving Game Strong

The Triceratops put pressure on their opponent from the service line, collecting 61 total service attempts and 7 aces. Audrey Fusci was a key contributor with 11 serves, including 3 aces, while Palmer Hampton and Pilar Hampton also helped keep the pressure on with smart, consistent serving.

Defensive Highlights

Libero Lucy Deleon anchored the back row with a team-high 25 digs, showing incredible hustle and reading ability. The team combined for 69 digs overall, effectively shutting down second-chance plays and keeping rallies alive.
