Triceratops Track and Field takes 14th at Sparky Adams Invitational
BEREA, Ohio (athletics.tri-c.edu) – Amidst a crowd of NCAA four-year competitors, the Cuyahoga Community College track and field team placed 14th out of 20 participating schools at Baldwin Wallace University's annual Sparky Adams Invitation, April 17 and 18.
The throwers were the stars of the invitational, with Skyler Novicki's 26.63-meter javelin toss earning her ninth place in the event. Freshman Unique Cunningham also placed top 10 in her event with a 10.56m throw in the shot put.
Over on the runners' side, the Triceratops distance runners put on a show. Ahmyadi Wallace placed 18th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.91. Sophomore Holly Milbrandt took seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking in at 15:37.04.
The day's highest point-receiver was freshman Reese Brady, who nabbed eight points on her own with a 42:26.13 second-place finish in the 10,000-meter run.

The Triceratops will travel to Ashland University later this week, April 24-25, for their final regular season meet at the Ashland Alumni Open. The meet will commence at 10 a.m. both days.
