Triceratops Dominate Madonna JV, 75–51, Behind Young’s Offensive Surge

 

Livonia, Michigan – Syair Young led the Cuyahoga Community College Triceratops to a commanding 75–51 victory over the Madonna University Crusaders (JV) on Tuesday night.

Young once again showcased her offensive skill set, pacing the Triceratops attack and setting the tone early. Freshman guard Summer Hastings-Peterson made a major two-way impact, finishing with 20 points, six steals, and three rebounds while shooting 59% from the field.

Forward La'Nia Moore added 11 points on 71% shooting, while contributing six steals and five rebounds, including three on the offensive glass. The Triceratops' defensive pressure was relentless, holding the Crusaders to 27% shooting and forcing 21 turnovers.

Sophomore Jayleena Bouza and freshman Doriana Hastings-Peterson shared the team lead in assists with three apiece. Doriana also anchored the interior, pulling down a game-high eight rebounds, three of which came on the offensive end.
