Bio

Dion Griffin is the Head Coach of the Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) Women’s Basketball team, bringing passionate leadership and a strong commitment to both athletic excellence and player development. Griffin took the helm after previously sharing coaching responsibilities and earning co-Coach of the Year honors during the 2023-24 season, when the Triceratops finished first in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) with an 18-10 overall record.

Under Griffin's guidance, the program emphasizes fundamentals, confidence building, and preparing student-athletes for success both on and off the court. Before joining Tri-C, Griffin served as head coach of the Akron Aviators, a semi-professional team in the Amateur Basketball Association, where he honed his skills in leadership, recruiting, and player development.

Coach Griffin is dedicated to strengthening the Triceratops program through focused recruiting, skill development, and building a competitive, resilient team culture. His commitment to helping players reach their full potential is matched by his goal of preparing them for opportunities at four-year colleges and beyond.
