The Triceratops extend winning streak to five!

 --Tyairah Flowers had 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals as she led the Triceratops to a 66 – 63 win over the visiting Commodores from Lorain Community College (LCC). Flowers was joined in double figures by Jayleena Bauzo 11 points, and LaNysha Prewitt's who recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards (seven offensive).  

This game was reminiscent of the first matchup between these two teams, where the Triceratops won in overtime. The game was tight throughout as both teams battled back and forth. The Tops took a slim 25-21 lead into the break. They later built a 12 lead, but the Commodores made a strong comeback, closing the gap to a one-possession game in the final minutes. fought back to a one-possession game in the waning minutes. With the score at 58-54, Artica Conner (9 points) hit a crucial three-pointer that helped seal the victory for the Lady Tops.

Key moment

The Triceratops were down 51 -54 when Flowers scored off an offensive rebound with a driving lay-up down the middle. After the Commodores missed a deep three, Aavi Tullis-Johnson banked a right-hand drive on the left side of the floor. The Commodores picked up an offensive foul trying to inbound the ball which led to Conner's dagger!

Key stat

The Triceratops outrebounded the Commodores 45 -68 with a whopping 31-11 on the offensive glass.
