"Triceratops Detonate for 38 Runs in Dominant Friday Sweep of Terra State"
Saturday, March 21 — vs. Edison Community College
Game 1 | Triceratops 6, Edison CC 0
Phillips returned to the circle Saturday and was simply untouchable. Working all seven innings, she spun a complete game shutout, surrendering zero earned runs and continuing to prove herself as one of the most reliable arms in the conference. Her ability to locate pitches, change eye levels, and generate weak contact gave Edison's lineup no chance to establish any offensive rhythm.
Isabelle Kepple provided the offensive highlight of the afternoon, going 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, delivering a put-the-team-on-your-back performance that gave the Triceratops all the run support they would need.
Game 2 | Triceratops 8, Edison CC 4
The Triceratops came out of the gate swinging in the series finale, jumping out to an early lead and refusing to relinquish it despite a late push from the Edison Charge. When Edison threatened to cut into the deficit, the Triceratops responded with the long ball, going deep three times to put the game out of reach.
Sophie Durbin, Lexi Gray, and Isabelle Kepple each went yard, delivering back-breaking home runs that crushed any momentum Edison attempted to build and sealed the sweep in emphatic fashion.
