Kepple and Phillips Earn OCCAC Weekly Honors After Dominant Week for Cuyahoga Softball

Cuyahoga Community College softball went 5-1 last week (March 2–8), and two Triceratops were recognized for driving that success — Isabelle Kepple earned OCCAC Position Player of the Week, while Julee Phillips took home her fourth career OCCAC Pitcher of the Week award.

Isabelle Kepple | Position Player of the Week Kepple put together one of the most prolific offensive weeks in the conference, launching five home runs and a double across 19 at-bats for a staggering 1.474 slugging percentage. The utility player — splitting time between first base and catcher — hit .632 (12-for-19) with 16 RBI and nine runs scored. She reached base and scored in all six games, and went deep with two or more RBI in five of the six contests. It's the second OCCAC weekly honor of her career, having also earned the recognition as a freshman.

Julee Phillips | Pitcher of the Week Phillips is on a run that few pitchers in the conference can match. Her latest honor — her third straight in 2025 and fourth overall — came after a week in which she was nearly untouchable. Over four appearances, including two complete game starts, Phillips logged 15.2 innings, struck out 30 batters, and surrendered just two earned runs. She punctuated the week with a shutout in Cuyahoga's second win over St. Cloud, cementing herself as one of the top arms in the OCCAC.
