Triceratops Softball Primed for Breakthrough Season

The Triceratops softball program is ready to build on last year's resurgence and make a serious run in what promises to be a highly competitive 2026 season.

After navigating the challenges of returning from COVID, the Triceratops found their footing in 2025, finishing tied for the conference title and turning heads
with a strong performance at districts. Now, with an infusion of talent and experience complementing a core of proven returners, the program enters the
new season with championship aspirations.

"2026 will be a big season for us," noted Head Coach Bryan Komlos. The team added talent to complement its experience and outstanding returners.
We are looking forward with high hopes and preparation for the challenges the season brings. Those challenges begin with a conference that features some of
the region's premier programs. Edison, Terra, and Owens all figure to be formidable obstacles on the road to a title.

"There are some great teams in OUR conference," the staff acknowledged. "Edison and Terra will be forces, not to mention Owens. The coaching
is great and preparing for them is always fun."

The Triceratops will counter with a roster loaded with proven talent. All-conference selections Julee Phillips, Reese Adkins, and Izzy Kepple headline the returning group,
bringing leadership and big-game experience. Veterans Sami Zabak, Katie Smith, and Katie Emery provide additional depth and stability across the diamond.

The roster received a significant boost from transfers Lexi Gray and Sophie Durban, whose additions address key needs and elevate the overall talent level.
Combined with an incoming freshman class brimming with ability, the Triceratops appear to have all the pieces necessary for a special season.

The foundation has been laid. The talent is in place. Now the Triceratops look to prove that last year's success was just the beginning of something bigger in 2026.
