Plymouth, IN. — Just days after a tough second-half collapse against the Ocelots of Schoolcraft, the Triceratops responded with purpose, delivering a commanding performance on the road with a convincing win over the Charge of Marian University Ancilla. The offensive outburst mirrored the very onslaught they endured the previous Saturday, as they returned to form and reaffirmed their identity.
Freshman Apong Fernand delivered his breakout performance as a Triceratop, netting two impressive goals in a confident, attacking display.
"We've been waiting for him to play with that level of aggression," said Head Coach Devan Anderson. "Today, he looked comfortable, played free, and really found his rhythm within the offense."
Sophomore Stefan Trmcic sparked the Triceratops' turnaround, setting the tone early with sharp playmaking and relentless energy. He consistently found teammates in dangerous positions—most notably setting up freshman Apong Fernand—and capped off his standout performance with one goal and three assists.
Head Coach Devan Anderson echoed that sentiment, pointing to an intense week of preparation as a turning point. "If we are to be a post-season threat, we have to play like that each game and each half," he said. "The response in training this week was exactly what we needed."
Next up: With the win, the Triceratops improve to 6-2-1 on the season and will look to carry their momentum into a pair of key home matches this weekend. They host Jackson College on October 4 at 11 a.m., followed by a match against Alpena Community College on October 5 at 10 a.m.
