Triceratops Roll Past Hocking Behind Evans' Near Triple-Double

Cuyahoga 114, Hocking 75 17 January 2026

Frank Evans came tantalizingly close to history, as the Triceratops balanced attack proved far too much for Hocking to handle in a 114-75 rout on Friday night.

Evans flirted with a triple-double all evening, finishing just one rebound and one assist shy of the rare statistical feat with 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. The versatile standout sophomore orchestrated the Triceratops' offensive attack while providing scoring punch of his own, keeping Hocking's defense stretched thin throughout the contest.

While Evans narrowly missed the milestone, he had plenty of help in the dominant victory. Chase Abraham stuffed the stat sheet with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, a performance that would later earn him OCCAC Player of the Week honors. Abraham's all-around excellence continues to establish him as one of the conference's premier talents.

Dekota Johnson added 14 points and was a menace on the defensive end with 3 steals, while "Favor" McFadden and Dylon Susan each contributed 13 points to round out the balanced scoring effort.

The 39-point victory keeps Cuyahoga rolling and showcases the depth that makes the Triceratops one of the most dangerous teams in the conference. With multiple players capable of takeover performances on any given night, Cuyahoga continues to build momentum as conference play heats up!

Up next: The Triceratops will face the Bobcats of Bryant and Stratton on Wednesday, 21 January 2026. Tip-off is set for 5:30 pm. This is a home contest at the Metro gym located at 3002 Community College Ave, Cleveland, 44115.
