Tri-C MBK Grounds the Eagles, 115-91
The Tri-C Men's Basketball team took no prisoners on Saturday afternooon at the Metro Gymnasium as they flew by the Eagles of Clark State College, 115-91. The win improves the Tops to 17-4 overall and 6-2 in OCCAC play and combined with Hocking's loss on the road at Lorain, puts the Tops in sole possession of 2nd place behind league leading Lakeland.
The Tops led by 9 at the break and never looked back in the second half including two mammoth highlight dunks by Tyishawn Smiley and Devin Haid.

Tri-C had four in double figures with: Devin Haid with 29, Manny Hill with 19, Tyishawn Smiley with 18 and getting his first start and playing live in front of his parents for the first time all season, Ronik Grewall with 11 points. Once again, guard Manny Hill led the Tops in rebounding with 11 boards to go along with his 8 assists. Jordan Persad, running the point, once again contributed 9 points and 5 assists. The Tops on the day shot 55.7% from the floor and had 60 of their points in the paint.
Tri-C will play on the road against a sneaky Bryant and Stratton team on Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Ursuline College gymnasium and then will return home for another key OCCAC matchup on Saturday against Edison State.
