Ryan Torok tabbed as OCCAC’s Co-Pitcher of the Week
PARMA, Ohio (athletics.tri-c.edu) – The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference named sophomore pitcher Ryan Torok (Canton, Mich./Toledo) as Co-Pitcher of the Week, May 5.
As the Cuyahoga Community College Triceratops looked to lock up the Division II OCCAC Championship and a first round home series in the NJCAA Region XII Playoffs, Torok turned in his best performance of the season. In the tight battle for the conference championship against Bryant & Stratton (OH), Torok took the ball in game two with the Bobcats and Triceratops tied atop the conference standings. Torok went 5.1 strong innings on the bump, striking out 11 batters to tie his career-best mark while earning the win.
Torok's gutsy pitching and win flipped the momentum back to the Triceratops and captured the conference crown the next day in game one against Bryant & Stratton.
He was joined by Terra State's Hansen Huth as Co-Pitcher of the Week. To see the full list of honorees from the week, including baseball and softball, please see the OCCAC's release.

If necessary, the teams will return to Ron Mottl Field for game three, May 8. First pitch time is to be determined for the possible game three.
