Keagan Gilbride nabs OCCAC Pitcher of the Week Award

PARMA, Ohio (athletics.tri-c.edu) – Sophomore pitcher Keagan Gilbride (Tallmadge, OH) was named Ohio Community College Athletic Conference pitcher of the week, April 14, for his stellar play against Clark State. 

The righty had one appearance, tossing a gem of a complete game shutout in a 7-1 win, April 11. Gilbride tore through the Eagles, pitching all seven innings with 10 strikeouts while only allowing five hits and no earned runs. 

Gilbride carries a team-best 2.11 ERA across the season on 21.1 innings pitched. His 33 punch outs rank second for the Triceratops and his six walks is the lowest for Tri-C among pitchers with at least 20 innings pitched. 

UP NEXT

Gilbride and the rest of the Triceratops baseball team will be back in action later today, April 14, for the second of a double bill against Lakeland Community College. First pitch from Kirtland, Ohio is scheduled for 4 p.m.
