Triceratops Split Doubleheader Series, Sweep First Twin Bill Before Dropping Second

The Triceratops split their weekend series against the Yetis of Cleveland Community College at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. The Triceratops swept the first doubleheader before dropping both games of the second twin bill.

In the opening game of the first doubleheader, the Triceratops edged the  Yetis, 4-3, behind timely hitting and a dominant performance on the mound. Center fielder Jamir Ross led the offensive charge, driving in two key runs to pace the lineup. Pat Farrell added a strong performance at the plate, collecting two hits to help keep innings alive. On the mound, Spencer Muller earned the win, teaming up with Keagan Gilbride to stifle the opposition. The duo combined for 11 strikeouts while allowing just one earned run, locking down the narrow victory.

The momentum carried into game two, where the Triceratops secured a 9-6 win to complete the doubleheader sweep. Despite tallying nine runs on just seven hits, the offense made the most of its opportunities. Zeylen Yanmaz recorded two hits to anchor the lineup, while Kohan Merritt and Pat Farrell each drove in two runs to power the scoring attack. Ethan Elbert picked up the win, striking out two batters in his outing. Out of the bullpen, Kael Poland and Mason Wolf shut the door, combining for seven strikeouts to preserve the victory.
