Bio

Jim Diestel is in his first season with Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) and serves as the program’s Outfield Coordinator.

Diestel began coaching at Archbishop Hoban High School, serving as Varsity Head Coach from 2009–2015. During that span, his teams compiled a 112–75 record, captured five sectional titles and two district championships, and advanced to the Ohio State Final Four in 2011 and 2013, finishing as State Runner-Up in 2011.

Diestel most recently served as an Assistant Coach at Hiram College (2024–2025). As a player, he spent two seasons at Hiram College as a pitcher and first baseman and later earned a spot on Kent State University’s winter roster.
