Coach Kyle Stahlberg Notches 100th Win, Caps Remarkable Turnaround at Cuyahoga Community College

In his third season at the helm of the Triceratops baseball program, Head Coach Kyle Stahlberg has reached an historic milestone: his 100th career win. The achievement is part of a remarkable resurgence for a program that just a few years ago was sidelined when the College suspended athletics due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stahlberg's 100th win was the team's 41st consecutive victory, a record-setting win streak that catapulted the Triceratops into the national spotlight and earned the team a ranking of No. 22 in the NJCAA national poll. 

After inheriting a program trying to find its footing post-COVID, Stahlberg wasted no time rebuilding from the ground up. By his second season, the impact was undeniable. Sixteen players had earned opportunities at four-year colleges, including seven who advanced to NCAA Division I programs.

"After the pause due to COVID, we had to start from scratch," Stahlberg said. "There were no guarantees, just belief, hard work and a lot of trust. Watching these student-athletes grow and succeed at the next level is what it's all about."
