Unstoppable Force: The streak reaches 32!

CLEVELAND, OH — The Triceratops aren't just winning—they're steamrolling.

Riding the emotional high of a miraculous Game 1 comeback, Cuyahoga Community College came out swinging in Game 2, unleashing an offensive onslaught to bury Edison State 19-9 and complete the doubleheader sweep emphatically.

From the first pitch, it was clear: the momentum hadn't just carried over it had caught fire. The Triceratops plated three runs in the first, six in the fourth, and a jaw-dropping nine in the sixth to blow the game wide open and leave the Chargers scrambling.

Kohan Merritt led the charge, going 3-for-4 with five RBIs, including a grand slam and a triple. "He's locked in right now," said head coach Kyle Stahlberg. "He's seeing everything, and nothing's getting by him."

Jackson Boles, still riding high from his clutch homer in Game 1, added another two-run blast in almost the same spot and finished with two RBIs of his own, while Ethan Greene launched a home run and drove in four. The bats were relentless, and the scoreboard reflected it.

The win marks 32 consecutive victories for the red-hot Triceratops, the longest active winning streak in the NJCAA this season. The Tricertops clinched the conference a while back but continue to play with the urgency of a team seeking something greater"This group is locked in, and they're hungry," Stahlberg said. "We challenged them to keep their foot on the gas after Game 1, and they didn't just respond, they roared."

Dylan Allamon earned the win on the mound, striking out four over two steady innings as the offense did the heavy lifting. Pat Farrell and Brendan Hazuda added two hits apiece, and Adam Rich contributed with two RBIs in the rout.

As the postseason nears, Tri-C is making it clear: they're not just contenders, they're a team on a mission.
