The Triceratops Baseball Team swept the Monday doubleheader agains the Lorain County Community College Commodores.
Game 1
Tops 14 Commodores 0
Sloan Ulrich shut down the Commodores bats by tossing 5 innings of 1 hit ball to go along with 9 strikeouts. He did not walk a batter. At the plate, the Tops got contributions from all 9 players. Connor Bozak had three hits and 4 RBI's to lead the Tops including a homerun and a double. Also collecting multiple hits were: Braden Reed, Saveonne Mayo, Jacob Connery and Silas Moore. Reed also hit a homerun and Moore also had 2 RBI's.
Game 2
Tops 25 Commodores 3
The Tops continued the offensive onslaught in Game 2 of the doubleheader by cracking out 23 hits. Kyle Koehler was the leader with 3 HR's and 8 RBI's on the day. Braden Reed collected 4 more hits and 4 RBI's and Carter Gast also had a 4 hit day with a homerun. Also collecting multiple hits were: Conor Bozak, Jacob Connery, Jacob Downey, and Cole Archual. On the mound, Nick Zarbo picked up the win going 2 innings giving up 3 hits and 1 earned run while striking out 3. Also gettin in some work were: Zac Tizzano (2 IP, 3K's) and Dylan Hatfield (1 inning and a strikeout).
The Tops travel to Sandusky Sports Force Park today to continue OCCAC play with a doubleheader against Terra State.
