Bio

Starting in April 2026, Griffin Olah is the first full-time sports information staff member at Cuyahoga Community College. He also holds the distinction as the only full-time sports information professional in the OCCAC.

With a background in student services, Olah brings a student-friendly focus to his work within sports information, always looking to highlight the success of Triceratops players both on and off the field. From 2024-2026, Olah held roles at multiple colleges focused on student success, such as academic and financial aid advising.

During that time, Olah wrote and developed a newsletter focusing on college football called SID Sports. He built the newsletter from the ground up, starting with zero subscribers and capturing a base of nearly 300 before taking the Specialist, Sports Information and Media Relations role at Tri-C. He also freelanced as a sports statistician during that time, working with Bowling Green State University Athletics, the BGSU Stroh Center for OHSAA games, Owens Community College Athletics, and Bryant & Stratton College Athletics.

Olah has also worked in public relations and sports information previously. Prior to his jump to student services, he worked in corporate public relations with the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and Wood County Safety Council, where he led both organizations’ public relations and communications departments.

Olah brings a strong background in collegiate sports information work to Tri-C, with experience at BGSU, Eastern Michigan University and the University of Toledo. In those positions, Olah had a hand in the publications and promotions of all the universities’ sporting programs. In particular, he served as the Sports Information Director for the BGSU Swim and Dive team and Eastern Michigan Cross Country and Track and Field teams in two different positions.

Olah earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Bowling Green State University in 2022.

He resides in North Royalton, Ohio with his wife, Paige, and their cat Ellie.
