The Tri-C Women's Volleyball team picked up their first victory of the season in the final game of the Owens CC Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Tops defeated Henry Ford College, 3-1. Tri-C was defeated in their other 3 matches, 3-0 to Southwestern Michigan, Lansing and Kellogg. The team is gaining valuable experience in playing some of the top teams in the region.
Leading the way on the court for the Tops was Jynx Bretz with 32 kills on the weekend. Running the show and leading the way with 61 assists was Imani Hendon. Also playing and contributing were Mallory Rice and Mackenzie Thompson who both had all around stats to help the Tops.
The team will play at home at the Eastern Campus on Wednesday night at 6 pm as they will host Lorain CC and then take to the road on Thursday evening with a trip to Community College of Beaver County in Pennsylvania.
The Tops record stands at 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the OCCAC.
