In an inspiring change from last week's match, the Tri-C Women's Volleyball team came out energized against Terra State Community College on Wednesday night. The Tops took the first set 25-19.
However, the Titans came back to win the next two sets, 25-23 to take a 2-1 match lead. The Tops had their chances late in the fourth set to force the fifth set but could just not put enough consistent play together and fell, 25-20. The team showed a lot of fight and will travel to Owens Community College this weekend for the Owens Invitational and multiple matches.
Tri-C was led by Jynx Bretz, who had 23 kills and 20 digs playing a great all around game. Imani Hendon had 35 assists and 11 digs for the Tops. Also playing big roles were Sa'Keena Hudgin (9 kills, 15 digs) and Mallory Rice (13 digs, 3 aces) along witih Mackenzi Thompson (5 kills).
The Tops fall to 0-2 on the season.
