Tops Lose Heartbreaker to Lorain

The Tops VB team remembered their previous matchup with Lorain CC (ranked 16th in the NJCAA in Division III), a 3-0 sweep.  This time was much different as the Tops after fighting tough the first two sets but losing, battled back to take sets three and four (25-23 and 26-24) to set up a fifth and deciding set.  In the fifth, they went down early, 8-3 but battled back to 10-7 but in the end fell just short losing 15-10.

Kam Kondrach, Jynx Bretz and Amaya Dolce led the attack for the Tops, while Olivia Meany, Mallory Rice and Ceniza Rivera played tough defensively and setting up the attackers.

The Tops fall to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in the OCCAC.  They will travel to Lakeland next Wednesday for a 6 pm matchup with the Lakers and then host the Lakers on Saturday at 11 am.
