WBK: Tops Derail Express, 67-56

The Tri-C Women's Basketball team continued their hot play as they have now won 7 of their last 9 with a 67-56 victory over NJCAA Division III nationally ranked Owens at home, 67-56.

Once again, it was Quimari Shelton with a monster game as she had 26 points and 13 rebounds and 4 steals for the Tops.  Zarina Fader was the only other Top in double figures with 11 off the bench, including 3 for 4 on 3 pointers as she continues to lead the OCCAC in three point field goal percentage at 38.9%.

Tori Smith had 10 rebounds while Marybella Dunlap chipped in with 4 assists and 7 boards.

The Tops move to 15-9 overall and 6-3 in OCCAC play.  They will host league leading Edison at the Metro Gymnasium at 4 pm on Wednesday afternoon in a critical rematch.  The Tops defeated the Chargers on the road just a week ago and the top 3 teams in the OCCAC will qualify for regional playoff tournament.
