The Tops Women's Basketball team got a huge road win in the OCCAC as they defeated the Edison State Chargers (18-6, 7-2) on the road to move into 2nd place and in range for a coveted top 3 finish to get an automatic Region 12 bid.
Quimari Shelton continued her dominating play by recording a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Also in double figures were Tori Smith (13 points/10 rebounds), and Zarina Fader (11 points). Dariah Kirksey led the team in assists with 5.
The Tops move to 13-8 overall and 5-2 in the conference. They will travel to Lakeland for another road contest on Wednesday night at 5:30 and return home next Saturday to host Owens at the Eastern Campus.
