The Tri-C Women's Basketball Team led the Owens CC Express, 31-28 at half but could just not overcome poor shooting both from the field(36.5%) and the free throw line (52%) and fell to the Express 67-64 on Saturday afternoon. It was the OCCAC opener for the Tops (6-4, 0-1).
Tri-C was led by a monster game from Amari Hancock, who finished with 16 points and 24 rebounds. Also in double figures were Zarina Fader with 10 points and Artica Conner with 14 points. Brianna Bunkley chipped in 5 assists and Marybella Dunlap had 8 rebounds.
The Tops return home for a 6 pm matchup with Erie CC on Wednesday evening at the East Campus Gymnasium. Admission is free and it will be livestreamed on the Tri-C Youtube page.
