The Tri-C Women's Basketball team fell to Edison State on Saturday, 77-46. The loss drops the Tops to 8-12 on the season and 0-7 in OCCAC play.
The first half was highly competitive with the Chargers holding at 17-10 lead after one quarter and a 36-28 lead at the break. The third quarter proved to be the difference in the game as the Tops were held to only 5 points while Edison scored 17.
Once again leading the way for the Tops was a monster game by Tori Smith who finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds before fouling out in the 4th. Marybella Dunlap also had a strong game with 9 points and 13 boards. Dariah Kirksey, Ashley Little and Ashley Keener combined for 7 assists, 4 steals and 13 points and Angel Valentine chipped in with 5 points.
The Tops take to the road this week for two games: Wednesday they will be at Lorain CC for a 5:30 tip and then a Saturday trip to Owens CC for a 3 pm tip.
