The Tri-C Women's Basketball team battled Jamestown CC tough on the road last night but fell to the Jayhawks, 69-45.
The Tops were led by a monster game from Ashley Little who scored 12 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and had 4 assists. and 2 steals. The Tops leading scorer with 14 was Dariah Kirksey and Marybella Dunlap also chipped in 10. Tori Smith pulled down 12 rebounds for the Tops.
Tri-C got off to slow start as JCC took a 20-3 first quarter lead but the Tops won the second quarter 17-12 but just could not close that gap in the final two stanzas.
Tri-C falls to 8-10 on the season and will look to get back on the winning track tomorrow night as they will host Terra State (10-5, 3-3 OCCAC) at 5 pm at the Metro Gymnasium. The game will be live on the Tri-C Sports Network.
