Tri-C Women's Basketball Sinks the Commodores, 92-37

The Tri-C women's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a thumping of the Lorain County Community College Commodores 92-37 at the Metro gym on 7 December 2022.

LaTaljha Cherry was the leading scorer with 21 points as she knocked down 10 of 13 shots from the field.  Beyonce Muschett flirted with a triple double as she tossed in 13 points, added 14 rebounds and dished out nine assists.  Her 14 boards included 8 off the offensive glass. Quimari Shelton's 11 points and nine rebounds came in 15 minutes of game time as the Lady Tops roared to a convincing victory.

The Lady Tops dominated from the opening tip and led at halftime by a whopping score of 44 -13 at the break. The Lady Tops were never threatened as they held the lady Commodores to 18.8% shooting for the game. The win improved the Lady Tops to 6–3 on the year. 

The Lady Tops return home to the East gym on Saturday afternoon, December 10th at 1:00 pm as they take on conference foe Owens Community College, the defending NJCAA Division III National Champs and currently ranked #3 in the country.  The Express will enter the contest at 8 -3 and looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
