Tri-C Softball Gets Off to Rocky Start in Florida

The Tri-C Softball team made their way through some travel issues to arrive in Clermont, Florida for the Spring Games being held at Legends Field.

The Tops were the victim of a big innings in both of their opening day losses.  They were defeated by Iowa Lakes Community College in Game 1, 6-2 and South Suburban College, 7-2.

Abbie Gayner drove in both Tops runs in the first game.  Also collecting hits were:  Olivia Lopez, Nicole Goode, and Mikayla Rash.

In game 2, Maya Sheller scored both Tops runs and also contributed two hits.  Maddie Brockman and Amanda Lindberg also had multi-hit games for the Tops.

The Tops will play three games on Monday.
